When approached with RHCP, we were asked to do something very different than the usual Band Merchandise. This merchandise was to appear on sales racks next to the likes of the latest and hottest fashion brands at premium clothing stores such as Fred Segals, and Saks. This was at the beginning of the “Bands go Fashion” trend that ensued.

The goal was to take the existing RHCP logo, and brand elements, and develop them further until they would be worthy to step out of the stadiums, and into clothing stores.

We tweaked their logo, and treated it on various pieces with all sorts of appliqué’s and stitching techniques.

A series of graphics were then developed that had both ‘Rock N Roll” credibility, as well as Fashion sensibility, that could be used in many applications.

Actual products were then designed to meet the latest fashion standards, and the graphics applied to them.

The resulting collection as seen above sold out in short time at the select premium outlets they appeared in.
